We all have web hosting companies that we work with unless we are using a free blog service. I think that is the reason so many people stick with the free blog platforms. They do not have to figure out which company to use or figure out how to pick one out. The problem is that each blogger or website will have different set of needs so there is no perfect web hosting service for everyone. Following are a couple things that you should consider.
What are your needs? Are you ok using a free host or will you get so much traffic and business that you are looking at colocation as a possibility? This is probably the biggest factor to consider. To many people look at price first. Figure out what you need or want and find the best provider that provides that.
What are their features or bonus? What do they offer and how is it different or better then their competition. Make sure that the extras that they provide are feature you will use.
Will you go with an advanced service? Do you need managed hosting or a “premium” service. So many people will not be using this type of service so few hosting companies provide service that caters to this type of business. It is really a good fit for small and mid size businesses.
Remember to know yourself and your needs and find a good match.
