Algarrobo, Chile (PRWEB) February 04, 2012

“Don?t let anything or anyone keep you from being all that you can be,” writes Rosalie Kahn in the dedication to her new book, “My Healing Heart: A Life Journey to Find Love,” recently published by iUniverse (ISBN 978-4620-3102-3) and available now, in time for Valentine?s Day. Kahn?s journey begins painfully in New York, where she is abused, both sexually and emotionally. Where others might turn to less wholesome means of coping, Kahn looked unflaggingly forward, knowing in her heart that love and truth existed. She was determined to find both, and, in the end, she did.

Rosalie joined the US Foreign Service, living in many different countries across several continents, and, every few years, learning a new language and customs, for twenty-six years. She taught English to Polish immigrants in Austria, and acted in theatrical productions in Turkey. In Colombia, she worked for the Narcotics Section of the US Embassy in the late 1970s, amidst political unrest. In Austria she took dictation at the Hofburg Palace, home of very powerful families during the Austro-Hungarian Empire (1867-1918). Everywhere, she absorbed the sights and customs of her adopted lands.

Prior to entering the Foreign Service, she discovered the teachings of Edgar Cayce, known as the ?sleeping prophet,? and later facilitated Cayce study groups around the world, in both English and Spanish. She underwent the difficulties of adopting an infant in a foreign land, and suffered the pain of unbearable loss. She battled weight problems and illness; she became a published poet. Kahn?s open and loving nature paved the way for romantic escapades and enduring friendships. When she met her ?prince,” Guillermo, in Chile, neither spoke the other?s language.

Kahn lived and is living the life that many people only dream of. She never stopped searching for spiritual awareness, and did not settle for anything less than a love-filled life. With great warmth and charm, Kahn lets you travel the world with her as she seeks, learns, teaches, heals, and, always, grows.

“This is the heartfelt story of a deeply sensitive and poetic soul living the philosophy presented in the psychic readings of Edgar Cayce. Easy it was not. Joyous and inspiring, it is!” ?Alice Bonnefoi, International outreach Program Coordinator, Edgar Cayce?s Association for Research and Enlightenment

“Rosalie, living life to its fullest, is an inspiration.” ?Deane R. Hinton, former US Ambassador to Pakistan

“Plato said an unexamined life is not worth living. Rosalie is one of those rare people who has truly lived an examined life ? one of great joy and profound sorrow. She has touched the lives of many people in many lands. Throughout her quest for spiritual growth, she has maintained her compassion and love for others.” ? Ron Godard, former US Ambassador to Guyana

Where Elizabeth Gilbert spent a year in Italy, India, and Indonesia to find spiritual fulfillment and love in “Eat Pray Love,” Rosalie Kahn spent many years in a quest for love and truth; fortunately for her and for her readers, she found both. After reading “My Healing Heart,” you will have no doubt that your heart can also be healed.

Rosalie B. Kahn, author of “My Healing Heart,” is a writer and healer whose passion is helping others create a life filled with love. Her skills in healing the heart come from firsthand experience and extensive studies ? honed over decades as she lived all over the world.

The end result?Rosalie?s healing and empowerment?is a source of inspiration for anyone who has faced insurmountable challenges. The story appeals to people everywhere who want to feel whole and loved. The tools she incorporates into the book?working with dreams, meditation, and forgiveness?give people a process to create their own healed heart.

Rosalie is married to Guillermo Lopez, a Chilean. They live in Chile.

The globalization of trade and the World Trade Organization taking a leading role is defining new rules and policies in international trade and commerce. As a result, global and local business travel and their frequency acquired greater importance and urgency than ever before. Business travel for individuals and corporate executives is essential to maintain and promote business. If you intend to travel on a business mission, you should plan the itinerary of your travel carefully. New air travel companies are surfacing to join the race to attract customers. There is a great competition to provide better traveling facilities at competitive rates. Air service companies are coming up with ingenious schemes to lure customers. These schemes usually take the form of special airfare packages for certain destinations within given spaces of time. Since business trips are usually short, you can make use of packages that include return fares, hotel stays, rental cars and cabs for local transport, and other services. You should be careful to check whether you are being overcharged for your stay in the hotels to outbalance the undercharge on air tickets. You should also make sure the tickets in the flight you intend to board are available. You need to contact your travel agent well in time to avoid any last-minute hassles in obtaining the ticket. Before leaving for your destination, you should make note of the distance of the venue of your visit from the airport and the means of transport. You may be allergic to certain types of weather, such as the humidity during monsoon in destination cities that are located on seashore, or the dry air of metropolises that may crack your skin. If you are traveling to colder regions, you need to carry woolens and other cold-weather gear. You may not know the local language of the country or state you are visiting. You need a translator to communicate with your counterpart. Not the least important part of your planning should be getting to know the geographical situation as well as the time zone of the destination city you are going to visit. All these aspects of your business travel need careful consideration and thorough planning.

by Christoph!

IT WAS a breathtaking sight as over 12,000 cartoon fans packed the Kanteerava Stadium in Bangalore to cheer their favourite Toon stars at Cartoon Network’s ‘Toon Cricket-The Ultimate Showdown’. The Ultimate Hero -Ben 10, captain of the Benultimates team led his team to a resounding victory over Aggregor’s Agressors as he hit the winning shot of four runs in the super over.

In its seventh successful run, Cartoon Network’s most celebrated event fulfilled its promise of maximum fun and excitement as our world famous Toons captained by the youngest superhero Ben Tennyson from Ben 10 and the evil Mojo Jojo, from The Powerpuff Girls battled at the pitch. Ecstatic kids present at the packed stadium cheered their favourite toons till the nail-biting finish.

Adding to the excitement and experience of the evening was the digital augmented reality applications which had kids participating live in Toon Cricket contest and enjoying games, video and wallpapers on their mobile phones while watching their favourite toons sweat it out on the pitch.

Taking the action and fun to the virtual world for the first time, kids present at Toon Cricket got a chance to be just like their favourite hero, Ben 10 through an innovative Augmented Reality (AR) application. The funky AR stall called the ‘Cartoon Network Digital Zone’ at the stadium had kids being clicked wearing the virtual Ultimatrix.

The fun didn’t stop here as Toon Cricket went more toony! Cartoon Network became the first kids’ network in India to have a live mobile application at Toon Cricket that was activated once the kid reached the stadium. All the kid had to do was send an SMS CNTC to 58558 and download the Toon Cricket application that had wallpapers, video and information about Toon Cricket. To start the application, kids had to just point their phone cameras at the intARact code on the invite and they got playing. Also as kids present at the stadium switched on their blue-tooth, they received an application and got to partcipate in Toon Cricket contest live and began downloading cool Toon Cricket wallpapers as they watched their toon stars play on the field!

Amplyfying the experience, was the laser show that made Toon Cricket an outstanding event in the history of the Toon World. This year in ‘Toon Cricket-The Ultimate Showdown,’ Ben Tennyson had invited his plumber agent friends to join him and help protect the world in the Ultimate Showdown against the evil aliens, that Aggregor was threatening to unleash who will harm the environment and destroy the world using the help of his deputy Mojo Jojo. So Ben 10 had challenged him to a game of cricket to save the planet and he invited help from kids to become plumber agents!

As part of the on-air Toon Cricket contest that was rolled out we had a grand prize winner – Devyanshu Rout from Bangalore. Devyanshu got the opportunity to be treated like a superstar as he and his friends/family were escorted in a sleek Mercedes filled with bundles of surprises that include exclusive Cartoon Network goodies. Once at the venue, he got a special seat in a VIP enclosure with the best view in the field. Further, adding to his superstar journey, Devyanshu got an opportunity for a special tete-tete with Cartoon Network toons including Ben Tennyson and Mojo Jojo during the match.

I love our travel guides. We only started buying them when we went travelling in 2003. We now buy one for every new place that we go to. I have a Switzerland guide to add to these (going in May/June) but it’s next to the bed at the minute

I have just moved them in to the living room so that I can stare at them all the time! Lol. They bring back such happy memories

by ~suchitra~

There seems to be a whole vocabulary for those who sell travel. Active travel, adventure travel, leisure travel, eco-tourism. Do you really need to know what it all means? Not really. In the grand scheme of things you define your own travel style, and it may change from day to day.

You may go to an island and choose to sit on the beach one day, and go scuba diving the next. You may spend a day in the spa that resort has down in a palm grove and go bike riding the next. You’re active one day and quiet as a slug the next.

But if you are signing up for a tour, you should find out what that particular tour operator means when they say active travel. In general, an active tour will focus more on travel and transportation that requires physical activity… walking or cycling as opposed to riding along in a van or bus.

Most tours that fall into this category have a lot of outdoor activities.

OK, you say, but you can do a lot of walking if you’re sightseeing in a big city.

You’re right, even museum tours or garden tours can give you a workout, but active travel sort of indicates that you will be outdoors and biking or hiking or rafting or even horseback riding.

Some companies spell it out for you pretty well… they’ll tell you the activity level that will be required for the whole tour…

Will there be a lot of hiking or walking? For how many hours or how many miles or kilometers. Will there be lots of stairs or hills to climb? They may even have a “scoring” system all the way from easy to difficult… of course, you need to know what their definition of easy is!

A trekking company, for instance, might say Level One, or Easy is 3-5 hours of walking up to six miles a day with low altitude…. While Level Four or Strenuous is 5-8 hours of hiking in mountainous terrain at higher elevations.

Will you be staying in hotels? Or mountain huts where you share a bunkhouse arrangement with other travelers? Or will you be camping…. sleeping in tents? Your tour operator should give you an idea of the type of accommodations you can expect from rugged or spartan to luxury. You could be going on an African safari in the middle of the Kalahari, but if you stayed in a tent at Jack’s Camp, you would definitely find yourself reveling in the luxury category… and still be active in your travels.

You may even find that you relieve more “workaday” anxieties and frustrations with active vacations than you would just sitting on the beach, eating and drinking the night away. Activity is good for you, and sometimes it leaves you just a little tired and more relaxed at the end of the day.

Brochures may use the terms active or adventure travel interchangeably. We think of adventure travel as a little more of a reach…. something that is more apt to get you a little out of your comfort zone. Active travel doesn’t necessarily do that…. but it may make you break a sweat.

And what’s wrong with that?
